Jean Michel Othoniel Flowers of Hypnosis

French artist display in Brooklyn Botanic Garden is inspired by his passion for gardens. In the Japanese hill and pond garden, you find the gold lotus series. These sculptures are made of gold leaf and stainless steel. The artist chose these sculptures for this part of the garden to pay homage to the Japanese.

At the reflection lily pond, we find the mirror lotus that reflects the colors around .

    1. He is a French artist who sees gardens as spaces where one’s imagination can be mysterious, magical, etc. Viewing these pieces from different angles were quite intriguing.
